Sangiovese - Bovin

Bovin Sangiovese is made from Sangiovese grapes from its own vineyards and is an elegant wine with a distinctive ruby red color and high reflection. The nose is fresh and fruity with dominating notes of pomegranate, wild strawberry and cherry as well as a hint of herb and thyme spice.

The palate starts fresh with a high natural acidity typical of the grape type, but in the middle there are rich, sweeter aromas that convey a meatier feeling.

Der Gaumen beginnt frisch mit einer für den Traubentyp typischen hohen natürlichen Säure, aber in der Mitte gibt es reichhaltig-süssere Aromen, die ein fleischigeres Gefühl vermitteln.
Prevod Italijanski	Bovin Sangiovese è ottenuto da uve Sangiovese dei propri vigneti ed è un vino elegante con un caratteristico colore rosso rubino e alta riflessione. Al naso è fresco e fruttato con dominanti note di melograno, fragolina di bosco e ciliegia oltre a un accenno di erbe aromatiche e spezie di timo. Il palato inizia fresco con un'elevata acidità naturale tipica del tipo di uva, ma al centro ci sono aromi ricchi e più dolci che trasmettono una sensazione più carnosa.

Le nez est frais et fruité avec des notes dominantes de grenade, de fraise des bois et de cerise ainsi qu'une pointe d'herbes et d'épices de thym. La bouche commence fraîche avec une acidité naturelle élevée typique du type de raisin, mais au milieu il y a des arômes riches et plus doux qui donnent une sensation plus charnue.

Tikveš Wine Region

The Tikveš wine sub-region is situated on the same longitude as Toscana in Italy, Bordeaux in France and the Napa valley in the USA. It is one of the biggest regions in Macedonia by square area and it is situated at latitude of 41-42˚. The climate is mixed, Continental-Mediterranean. The south of the Tikveš region is dominated by a Mediterranean climate featuring long and hot summers.

To the north there is a predominant continental climate with mild and wet winters. The mean annual temperature is 13.3˚C, while during the vegetation period it is 18˚C. In the summer the temperature may reach over 40˚C. The mean precipitation during the vegetation period amounts to 300-500 mm.

The Tikveš region is “protected” on three sides by mountains which prevent the northern winds from reaching the vineyards. The following types of soil prevail in the Tikves region: Rendzina, Vertisol, deluvial, alluvial soil and Terra Rosa.

Bovin

Established in 1998, as a first family owned winery in Macedonia, Bovin Winery in Negotino has continually grown to reach an overall annual output of 1.2 million liters of wine. Under the direction of the Winery’s professional management team this ambitious objective was reached in 2008.
